Azure Ray – No signs of Pain

Every once in a while, we come across a wonderful piece of music and we can’t believe that “the world woun’t listen”, that this mesmerizing song has been ignored for so long and probably will continue to be.This is what I, in my infinite imagination decided to call ignored-gold. This is not the musical equivalent of a sleeper-hit movie, because those movies get their justice in the end.

Azure Ray
The first ignored-gold I want to talk about is the song No Signs of Pain by American duo Azure Ray. I don’t know a lot about the band, nothing more than what wikipedia says, but this song is by far one of the best dreamy-moody bits of sonic poetry that entered my ears. I first heard it on the soundtrack of Mouth to Mouth, an interesting fight-club-meets-indie-chick-flick sort of thing, starring Ellen Page, bald before Natalie Portman…
